Talking about the US Navy to my parents?

I was scared to tell my dad I wanted to enlist also, but then my mom told him. I really didnt think he would approve, but he was actually really encouraging and he thinks it's a really good idea, and he's proud of me. You'll never know what your parents will think until you tell them, so just get it over with. I wouldve enlisted whether or not my dad approved though.
