Why do (some)Europeans denounce racism yet embrace anti-Americanism?

Well they only get their info from the mainstream media which is highly liberal so they are skewed to one side only. Given that the mainstream media is so dedicated why would you think they would get the whole picture of America and American culture and ideals? My husband and I travel in Europe, me for pleasure, he more for business and politics have never come up. It's not appropriate and we haven't been approached. We also don't wear clothing that might ignite that sort of conversation. That is silly. I don't like the idea that everyone who doesn't believe the same as others is racism. A term that is horribly overused these days to the point of no meaning whatsoever. A difference of opinion can definitely be defined as anti-American from the European Union but racism is a long shot. We as a country rock, theirs don't. Jealousy of our freedoms and capitalism doesn't give the EU a right to be anti-American, but it does give them the right to think so. So be it. Who cares.
