Is it possible to save my old, rock hard paint brushes?

Though there are solvents that can dissolve the hardened paint, e.g. commercial paint cleaner, the bristles will probably never be the same and the brush will be useful as a slop brush or a duster at best. Probably best to toss them and start fresh and be more careful in the future. Been there, done that.
